One of our dogs once brought home two deer legs. They weren't entirely fresh, but still had some hair and sinew and bits of dried out flesh attached. He came trotting home with them, pleased as could be..dropped one on the back porch, and kept the other for himself. We had a hard time getting it away from him.
Hunters just sort of dump things where they please, here. I've seen all the pieces they don't want just tossed on the side of the road.
